Max brings a dynamic blend of global experience & local roots to West Coast Dwellings. Raised in Fairhaven, he cultivated his passion for hospitality while studying in Hawaii, where he honed his skills in delivering exceptional service. His career as an international flight attendant took him around the world, shaping his ability to connect with people & handle complex situations with ease & professionalism.

Eventually drawn back to the beauty of Bellingham, Max transitioned into real estate with his Father, where he discovered his talent for helping others navigate the home buying & selling process. Shortly after returning, he met his wife, Matia, & together they’ve built a family-run business dedicated to personalized service & community impact.

Max takes the lead in contracts, listings, closings, & negotiations, guiding clients with a calm, confident approach that makes the process feel effortless. His attention to detail, genuine care, & friendly demeanor ensure that every transaction is a positive experience.

Outside of real estate, Max’s love for the outdoors takes him to the slopes. He’s an enthusiastic skier & proudly coaches for the Mt. Baker Ski and Snowboard Special Olympics Team, combining his passion for the sport with giving back to the community. When not on the mountain, he & Matia enjoy adventures with their two pups & two cats, & foster animals for the Whatcom Humane Society, sharing their home & hearts with animals in need.

Matia brings a unique blend of creativity, organization, and business insight to West Coast Dwellings. With a bachelor’s degree in Art History and Business Administration from Western Washington University, she offers a fresh, innovative approach to real estate, ensuring that every aspect of the client experience is thoughtfully managed and beautifully executed.

Having grown up in the San Juan Islands, Seattle Area, Northern California, and as an Alumni of Orcas Island High School, Matia has a deep appreciation for the diverse lifestyles and communities of the Pacific Northwest. After meeting Max, she joined him in building West Coast Dwellings, where her background in organizational management and design became essential to the team’s success through digital, print, and web creation. Her keen eye for detail and artistic sensibility make her a natural at turning homes into inviting, market-ready spaces. Whether it's through thoughtfully designed feature sheets, expertly edited photos, or well-curated staging, Matia’s work helps properties stand out and attract the right buyers.

When she’s not working Matia can be found exploring new artistic endeavors, perfecting a recipe, or simply enjoying time out on the water sailing, boating, kayaking, or paddle-boarding. Her diverse background, creative flair, and commitment to excellent service make her an indispensable part of the West Coast Dwellings team.
